The vision statement of Christ1st.net is as follows: "Cultivating Community with a Christ 1st focus"

What does that mean?

This can be answered in the mission statement, "Living and sharing, outwardly, and in community, our love for, and devotion to Christ Jesus, thereby testifying to the power of God and authority of His Word, as we pray for lost souls."

Do you struggle to share the gospel? 
I've been there.  In today's world it takes a lot of courage to overcome the obstacles that the world brings.  We read of the disciples' severe persecution and think, "I couldn't go through that."  I've said that, too. 

However, I am keenly aware of what Jesus told the first disciples before ascending to the Father.  Christ said: 

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name 
of the Father, and of the Son, and of 
the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all
that I have commanded you.  And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." 
Matthew 28:19-20 ESV


How did Jesus call them?  "The Lord now chose seventy-two other disciples and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go."  

Read through the gospels.  You don't see anyone sharing the gospel singularly.  They were either in pairs or groups. 

They asked others to pray for opportunities to share the gospel:

"Pray for us, too, that God will gives us many opportunities to speak about his mysterious plan concerning Christ. That is why I am here in chains."  Colossians 4:3 NLT

That's how Christ 1st came to fruition.  

As the vision statement reads:

"Cultivating Community with a Christ 1st focus" 

In other words: "Community Evangelism.  

I invite you to ponder these questions, in your small group, your Sunday School, and your family.

"What does it mean to be a Christ 1st community? 

What does it look like to have a high view of God? 

How do we articulate the gospel, confidently?

"And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."  How does this promise bring comfort in sharing the gospel?

While we look at these questions, 
let's be in prayer that God will bring revival to each of our communities first thing when we awaken each morning.
